Li, P. & Kry, P. 2014, “Multi-layer skin simulation with adaptive constraints”, ACM, , pp. 171.
This conference proceeding introduce a novel system to simulate the skin behaviour by using multiple layers with variable features. This system manages to produce more realistic wrinkles since it creates micro-wrinkles inside bigger ones. The author find limits whit truncation distance and weight’s allocation when there are high space distortions where the material is applied. In addition, remeshing may cause artifacts.
This article helps me to understand to what extent is real skin representation developed and the development of tools in this area as well as to know the procedures in realistic human representation.
